Watching as the deteriorating conditions of our sisters and
their families in The place to begin bringing aid to our sisters and their families is from the knees of our hearts. We have God’s promise to hear and answer our prayers. So on behalf of these “least of these” inhabitants of one of the poorest countries in the world, will you join Global Women and pray for: · The emotional stability of mothers who wait in long lines for food and clean water to sustain their children’s lives. · The physical health of women in the last months of pregnancy or in labor where only chaos and unsanitary conditions prevail. · The grieving women who cannot find family members and whose bamboo-constructed huts were washed away in the storm. · The availability of clothing for women to protect themselves and their families from the sun. · The access to food, water, shelter, and medical assistance. · The ability to believe God’s promise through the prophet Jeremiah to give the Burmese a hope and a future (Jeremiah 29:11). · The on-going needs of the Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs). · The multiplying needs of refugees in the camps along the Thai-Burma border, especially the need for food. · The flood waters to subside and boats to reach people stranded in the Irawaddy Delta. · The freedom for Global Women partners, other Christian organizations and many relief workers to be able to enter the country to offer the love and mercy of Christ as they deliver much needed aid.
